Cotswolds Pool Room

A substantial garden outbuilding for a private client in Church Broughton, designed to bring two distinct uses together within one considered piece of architecture. The brief combined a full sized swimming pool room with a generous garage, set within an expansive rural garden.

The challenge was to unify both elements into a single coherent building rather than two separate structures bolted together. The pool room is positioned to open directly onto the garden terrace, with large glazed openings that allow natural ventilation and blur the boundary between inside and out during warmer months.

Natural stone cladding ties the building to its rural setting and the character of the main dwelling, while the detailing is kept clean and restrained throughout. The result is a building that earns its place in the landscape rather than competing with it.

The project is currently at tender stage with contractor pricing underway ahead of delivery on site.
